Permanent residence permit for citizens of the EU Member States

The permit is granted to the citizens of the EU Member stay after 5 years of uninterrupted stay in Poland. The stay is considered uninterrupted if the total time spent outside the Republic of Poland does not exceed 6 months of the year.

The stay is also uninterrupted if the foreigner stays outside Poland for a period longer than 6 months, if the reasons for that are: compulsory military service, important personal matters, especially pregnancy and childbirth, illness, studies, vocational training or delegation, provided that the period does not exceed 12 months.

A document confirming the right for permanent residence is issued upon the request of the EU citizen who met conditions mentioned above.
